Ahead of the GDPR going into force, I joined a panel session organized by the Congressional Internet Caucus Academy to discuss what EU privacy regulation means, what the U.S. should do to get its act together, and why privacy matters generally. It was a fun panel, though one of many interminable discussions about why Congress ought to finally enact a national privacy framework.
